School Trip
Each year we complete an offsite school trip, we encourage parents to come along and we go out for the day to explore a local activity and have some fun with both our children and their parents. In June 2022, we went to Finkley Down Farm, it was a wonderful warm day. We had so much fun seeing the animals, feeding the goats eating ice creams and playing in the adventure playground. It was a great opportunity for us to all have some fun, and it allowed the grown ups some time to mix with other parents, and the team away from the setting. It’s a great way to build friendships and we also had some aunties and Nanny’s attend too!

Village Visits
When we can we love to explore the local area, we will sometimes go over to the woods near the carpark entrance to explore, and play some games in our wellies, and when we are learning about posting items, we will walk up to the post box. We also hold our Christmas party in the village hall.
We also organise the return of some visits from our community members and have the Fire Service, Police and Postman visiting us in the Spring Term.

Charity Events
As a charity preschool we heavily rely on donations. At the moment we are in special circumstances where we are fundraising £30,000 to support us as we move into the new Preschool Building targeted for early 2024 and expand our current offering and rooms. We appreciate that our parents already pay us for our service so we are always trying to think of fun and interesting ways to raise money which allows us to get involved with our community.
Some recent ones have included, Sponsored Welly Walk, Quiz Night, Christmas & Summer Raffle, Ladies Night and the great Whaddon vs Alderbury annual rounders match which was such a hit in 2022 it will be making an annual appearance bigger and better then ever! We of course need to raise money to allow us to buy additional resources for the preschool, but we also love to have some fun with our parents, and the community.

Parties
Who doesn’t love an excuse for a party? We love to have parties, play games and have some party food. We always hold a Christmas, Easter and End of Term Leavers Party each year. This is a great chance for parents to come in to see us and they get to see a little more of what their children get up to behind closed doors and meet their friends. Our children also love showing their families where they play, their art up on the wall and all the things they love!
We also hold additional parties when we can, we had a jubilee party in 2022 and celebrated the King's Coronation too!
